About the Center for Social Commerce
What is Social Commerce?
In a world where B2B and B2C customers are in control of the business relationship, communicators need to know their customers better than ever in order to deliver customer value and boost ROI. Social Commerce is the practice of understanding the behavior of the empowered customer to narrow the gap to conversion with an eye towards proving return on investment.Click here for more information
The Center for Social Commerce was formed in 2012 as a partnership between W2O Group, an integrated communications firm, and Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, a leading academic institution for public relations/communications. The CSC was made possible by W2O Group and its CEO/founder Jim Weiss, a Syracuse alumnus, and is aimed at ensuring students are immersed and educated in social commerce, social media, technology, analytics and the influence they each play on our society and industry, providing them with cutting-edge skills and insight that will enable them to stand out amongst their peers as they enter the workforce.Click here for more information
I’m excited to begin my roles as an Ambassador for the Center for Social Commerce and a Corporate and Strategy intern at W2O this coming summer! As an Advertising and Marketing dual major at Syracuse University, I know the importance of data and analytics in the communications industry, but I can’t wait to learn more in the coming year. With industries today constantly growing and changing, it is important for agencies to continue to be forward-thinking. To me, W2O Group embodies that quality and leads the way in social commerce. I am looking forward to being able to use and expand on my passion for social media, storytelling and writing during my ambassadorship.Click here for more information
I am thrilled to join the W2O Group Center for Social Commerce team as an Ambassador. Attending Social Commerce Days events, hosted by the Center my freshman year exposed me to the growing analytics focus of the field. In my public relations courses at Newhouse, we have learned how to merge analytics with storytelling to develop effective messaging and targeted strategies. I can’t wait to be part of the W2O Group team, which is redefining the role of communications, marketing and public relations in a digital world.Click here for more information
